Synopsis

Amid the existential threat posed by ISIS, the indigenous Assyrian community in Syria faces significant challenges to its survival. Filmmaker and Assyrian descendant, Ameer K. Al-Azawi, returns to his ancestral homeland to document the impact of conflict on his people. Through personal reflections and interviews with community members, the film highlights the cultural heritage and resilience of the Assyrians in the face of displacement and violence, emphasizing the urgent need for preservation of their identity and history.
