Shipwreck is a short documentary. Luiz Delgado faces the inquisitorial system in 17th century Brazil. A Portuguese man known for his homoerotic relationships, he defies the strict social and religious norms of his time. After being exiled to Brazil, Delgado continues to challenge these values. He is later sent back to Lisbon, where he is tried and condemned to permanent exile in Angola. His story is based on "Misadventures of a Sodomite Exiled in 17th Century Bahia," a text by Luiz Mott.
