Synopsis

Pensioners Karasevs lived in a dismantling garage, known locally as a shell, for 79 days in Moscow. Their situation became dire as they faced extreme conditions and a struggle for survival. More than a third of these shells serve different purposes beyond their intended use. In 2006, this unusual living arrangement drew attention to the challenges people face in urban settings. The film presents their story and the realities behind this phenomenon.
