Synopsis
Kelly Sue DeConnick discusses her experiences in the comic book industry alongside other influential creators. The film covers the history of women’s roles in comics from the 1900s through to the present day. It features interviews with artists and writers, including Ramona Fradon and Joyce Farmer. The documentary records women's contributions during the early days of comics, the underground movement of the 1970s, and the rise of female creators in the 1980s and beyond. The film premiered at the Comic-Con International Film Festival in 2015 and won the best documentary award.
