The documentary features Ronnie and the dancers who worked there, capturing the club's vibrant atmosphere during its peak. Filmmaker Leilah Weinraub began shooting in 2002, documenting over 400 hours of footage. Shakedown premiered at the 2018 Berlinale and later screened at various festivals and art institutions across North America and Europe. In March 2020, it became the first non-pornographic film available on Pornhub.
