Synopsis
Pechory, a town marked by its turbulent history, serves as the backdrop for a personal narrative centered on the filmmaker's great-grandmother. Her father, the deputy mayor, was executed by Bolsheviks for refusing to surrender the keys to the local monastery. Months later, during the Estonian War of Independence, armored trains arrived to liberate Pechory. A Danish volunteer aboard one of these trains captured the earliest film footage of the town, which includes a glimpse of the filmmaker's great-grandmother.
