Synopsis

Jaan Kross, an Estonian author, faced arrest in 1944 by Nazi forces in Tallinn. A year later, Soviet troops took control, and Kross was detained again under similar charges of conspiracy with independence revolutionaries. The film draws from Kross's journal, his literary works, and interviews to depict significant events in Tallinn during September 1944. It presents a narrative of choices made by ordinary individuals amid extraordinary circumstances. The documentary runs for 56 minutes and was released in 2010.
