In 2007, Gillian Wearing placed an advertisement inviting individuals to participate in a film, offering them the choice to portray themselves or fictional characters. From hundreds of responses, seven participants were selected through auditions and workshops. Five of these individuals employed Method acting techniques to access their memories and emotions. They created personal performance vignettes, referred to as ‘end scenes’, which reveal their inner thoughts and alternate life possibilities.
