Synopsis

Welders at a shipyard in Mali Lošinj, Croatia, pause their routine tasks to perform a piece composed for welding machines by Nenad Sinkauz. Filmed in the summer of 2014, the video captures this unusual collaboration between artists and workers. The concept recalls efforts from the 1960s, when the communist party promoted similar partnerships in the former Eastern Bloc and the UK, notably through the Artist Placement Group.
