Synopsis

Paul Kemp travels the globe to investigate the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, the elusive creator of bitcoin. Nakamoto launched the cryptocurrency on January 3, 2009, and vanished two years later, leaving behind over one million bitcoins worth up to $70 billion. Despite sending cryptic emails about his absence, he has not been heard from since early 2011. Kemp seeks to understand why Nakamoto disappeared and what this means for the future of cryptocurrency.
