Synopsis

Thomas Imbach sets out on foot toward Lake Geneva in 2021, driven by a lifelong admiration for filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard. As he approaches the end of Godard's life, Imbach seeks to meet the legendary director, hoping to film alongside him rather than simply document his work. With an Aaton camera in his backpack, Imbach confronts his emotions and uncertainties. "Say God Bye" tells the story of a filmmaker's pilgrimage to express gratitude and love for his idol.
