They resist the privatization of what is set to become the largest cultural center in Latin America. Since the occupation, the space has been self-managed, offering free workshops in dance, theatre, and music. On January 1, 2013, private security and Metropolitan Police block access to the center. Ten protesters lock themselves inside while a camp of forty tents is set up outside to oppose the imminent eviction.
