Emilio D'Alessandro met Stanley Kubrick in London in 1971, beginning a three-decade relationship that intertwined their lives. D'Alessandro served as Kubrick's personal chauffeur and assistant, contributing to the making of four of the director's films. "S Is for Stanley" draws from D'Alessandro's autobiography, offering insights into the creative process behind Kubrick's work. Directed by Alex Infascelli, the documentary won the 2016 David di Donatello Award for Best Documentary and premiered in the United States at the IFC Centre in January 2017.
