Synopsis

Rumi Missabu stands at the center of San Francisco's queer art scene. He co-founded the influential performance group, the Cockettes, in the late 1960s. The film features archive footage, animation, and interviews with notable figures from the city's artistic past. It presents Missabu's personal stories and his attempts to reinvent himself toward the end of his life. The documentary runs for 79 minutes and was released in 2018.
