Synopsis
Arne Treholt, a former Norwegian diplomat, was convicted of espionage in 1985. He received a 20-year prison sentence for his actions during the Cold War. "Rikets sikkerhet" presents the political atmosphere of that era and details Treholt's alleged activities. The film features interviews and archival footage that capture public reactions to his trial. It also discusses the effects of Treholt's case on Norway's intelligence community and legal system. Directed by Oleksandr Dovzhenko, the documentary runs for 102 minutes.
