Synopsis
Theodor Fontane, a journalist from 1819 to 1898, documented his travels around Berlin. His book “Walks through the Mark Brandenburg” includes detailed cultural and historical accounts. Bernhard Sallmann selects passages from Fontane's work and compares them to the present-day Margraviate of Brandenburg. The film runs for 68 minutes and connects Fontane's observations with contemporary landscapes and experiences in the region.
