Synopsis

Rendala leaves his community in the dry forest of southwest Madagascar for the village of Andravitsazo. He is drawn by promises of modern amenities and a better life, encouraged by an environmental protection program. Five years later, he finds himself disillusioned. The water, medical center, and school he hoped for remain absent. Rendala faces uncertainty about his future and the fate of his community. The documentary runs for 64 minutes and was released in 2015.
