Elvis Aaron Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, on January 8, 1935. He grew up influenced by pop, country, gospel, and R&B music. In 1954, Presley began his career with Sun Records in Memphis. By 1956, he had signed with RCA Victor and became an international sensation. Over his career, he starred in 33 films and gained fame through live performances and television appearances. Presley served in the U.S. Army and passed away at Graceland on August 16, 1977.
