Synopsis

On the streets of Kyiv, people reflect on two significant dates in May: the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation on the eighth and Victory Day on the ninth. These days represent different meanings within Ukraine. The documentary travels across various regions of the country. It poses the same questions about these dates to residents. Responses reveal a divide in understanding and attitudes, as half the population honors the Soviet past while the other seeks reconciliation.
