Synopsis
Ted, an engineer, and Andy, an ecologist, travel to Texas and Belize to investigate the shrimp industry. In Texas, they meet fishermen who have lost their livelihoods due to cheap imports. In Belize, shrimp farmers attempt to maintain a natural balance with their environment, but globalization leads to the collapse of a top farm. Back in the U.S., innovative farmers use bacteria to cultivate shrimp in waste-free conditions. Ted and Andy find hope in these new methods for sustainable shrimp farming.
