Synopsis
A shortage of public lavatories in Mumbai forces many women to wait in long lines, raising issues of gender, class, and urban growth.
Synopsis
Mumbai's public lavatories are in short supply, particularly for women. Director Paromita Vohra addresses this issue in her 2007 film Q2P. She investigates who must queue for restrooms while connecting the lack of facilities to broader social issues such as gender, class, and urban growth. Q2P won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary at the 2007 Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.
