Synopsis

At a bustling dog show, art critic Waldemar Januszczak critiques the eccentricities of canine culture. He questions breeding practices, likening them to eugenics, and argues that they often harm the animals' health. Januszczak remarks on the absurdity of breeding dogs to look like "misshapen Halloween pumpkins." He suggests that society's affection for dogs is more about the status they confer on their owners than genuine love for the animals themselves.
