Princess Angeline

Synopsis

Kikisoblu, known as Princess Angeline, was the daughter of Chief Seattle. She lived in Seattle during the late 19th century, often depicted on postcards. By the 1890s, she was one of the few remaining Duwamish people in the area, just 35 years after the Treaty of Point Elliott. The documentary details the historical events that led to her isolation and the ongoing denial of tribal status for the Duwamish people. It reflects on the injustices faced by her community.
