Synopsis

In San Francisco and New York, the early 1980s marked a critical period for gay men as the AIDS epidemic took hold. Positive Men begins with seven dramatic scenes that depict the community's response, intertwining support networks, medical advancements, and political activism. Following these scenes, interviews conducted in Toronto and San Francisco between 1993 and 1994 feature artists, filmmakers, and AIDS community workers who contributed to cultural and community efforts during this crisis.
