Synopsis
On November 14, 1951, the left bank of the Po River near the Padua-Bologna railway bridge collapsed. The resulting flood devastated the Polesine region, forcing thousands to flee their homes. The water remained stagnant for months, leading to a humanitarian crisis. Director Andrea Segre captures the memories of children who experienced this disaster. Using archival films from the Istituto Luce, the documentary presents the struggles faced by the community 70 years after the flood.
