In the 1990s, the building in Tbilisi known as Pirimze decayed and operated in an improvised manner, reflecting the tumultuous changes in Georgia.
Synopsis
Pirimze, a building in Tbilisi, reflects the architectural ambitions of Georgia from the 1970s to the present. Initially a symbol of luxury, it became a hub of wealth in the 1980s. By the 1990s, the structure fell into disrepair, leading to improvised uses. Following Georgia's independence and the collapse of the Soviet Union, smaller workshops emerged in the area, echoing the building's legacy. The documentary visits these workshops and the newly renovated Pirimze Plaza, questioning the motives behind its transformation.
