Synopsis

In the 1990s, a group of animators trained under masters of the craft. They learned the principles of hand-drawn animation, which reached new heights during what is known as the second golden age. The arrival of computer technology shifted the industry, leading to a decline in traditional methods. However, interest in hand-drawn animation resurged later. “Pencils vs Pixels” examines this evolution within the animation industry over several decades.
