Synopsis
Gülbiye, the sole woman in her village raising silkworms, teaches her granddaughter Ada about the craft of silkworm farming and the traditions surrounding oya. Meanwhile, an oya collector seeks to learn the history of a cherished piece. The film illustrates how oya, once a symbol of women's oppression, evolved into a means for women to gain economic independence. Set against the backdrop of rural life, the documentary runs for 74 minutes.
