In a favela in Brazil, two children pursue their passion for ballet against a backdrop of societal prejudice. They confront the stereotype that ballet is reserved for the wealthy elite. As they train and perform, their stories reveal the challenges they face in their daily lives. Directed by Beadie Finzi, "Only When I Dance" captures their determination to use dance as a form of self-expression and escape. The film runs for 78 minutes and features interviews in Portuguese.
