Synopsis

Chen Jiaping, a poet and documentary director, uses his mobile phone to capture the lives of contemporary poets. He reflects on the early deaths of Ma Hua, Ma Yan, and Hu Xudong, who represent a decline in the generation of poets born in the 1970s. Kun Niao, a poet from the 1980s, struggles with an unstable life, while Chen organizes poetry events for younger poets like Zhang Xiaozhen. When Chen's father visits Beijing, it prompts a confrontation with his own values and family life.
