Synopsis

Azhong stands against the encroachment of urban development in Yangji, a village facing displacement due to the expansion of nearby Chinese cities. As local developers, connected to the government, push rural residents from their homes, most accept meager compensation and uncertain futures. Azhong, however, joins a small group of villagers who resist the corrupt system, fighting for their rights and the preservation of their community. The documentary captures their struggle amid the rapid transformation of the countryside.
