Synopsis
He Yunchang stands before a group of approximately 20 friends on 10 October 2010, the 99th anniversary of the Wuchang uprising. He invites them to participate in a secret ballot to decide whether he should undergo a surgical procedure involving a one-meter incision from his collarbone to his knee, without anaesthesia. The vote results in a narrow majority in favor, with some abstaining. The performance, documented through video and photographs, captures the emotional weight of this extreme act.
