Synopsis
Deng Shengyin worked outside in Beichuan on May 12th when disaster struck. His wife, Zhu Xiaorong, was in the county seat and managed to escape. Their child, who had just gone to school, did not return. Over the following year, the film records the daily life of Zhu Xiaorong’s family as they cope with the aftermath of the disaster. It captures their struggles and the changes in their living conditions in Beichuan.
