Oceanic: Queering the Ocean

Synopsis

At Natural Bridges Beach, three dancers reflect on the impacts of climate change and sea level rise. They express personal loss through movement and seek to imagine futures rooted in queer and trans abolitionist ideals. The six-minute documentary captures their performances against the backdrop of a changing environment, intertwining themes of environmental urgency with personal narratives. Through their art, the dancers confront the realities of their surroundings while envisioning alternative futures.
