In dimly lit dressing rooms, Japanese strippers known as Odoriko prepare for their performances, surrounded by worn make-up mirrors. Editor Mary Stephen reconfigures director Yoichiro Okutani’s footage, presenting an editor’s cut that begins with a staged overture. She reintegrates previously discarded sequences, including an Odoriko's reflection on her profession: “It was about being nude at heart.” The film captures a fading amusement culture through a montage of intimate moments and candid statements.
