Synopsis
Olivier Derousseau lives and works along France's north coast, between Dunkirk and Calais. The area features ransacked landscapes and port installations, marked by smoke from nearby petrochemical facilities. The documentary unfolds as a musical suite in five parts, using minimalist blues to reflect on the time and people lost to industrialization. Sounds of traffic and wind blend with repetitive guitar, creating a meditation on daily life and the hope of preserving what remains in this changing environment.
