Synopsis

Candela, a photojournalist, investigates the plight of Sandra and Cecilia, two great apes confined in poor conditions at Argentine zoos. The NGO Proyecto Gran Simio collaborates with a team of lawyers to seek legal recognition for the apes' rights to life, liberty, and protection from torture. They face opposition from zoo managers linked to animal trafficking, who fear losing their financial interests. The film documents the legal and ethical battle for the rights of these animals.
