Synopsis
Zhang Yonghong, a papercutting artist living in Beijing, faces numerous challenges as he supports his family. He moved to the city in 2008 for his daughter's treatment for osteogenesis imperfecta, a condition she inherited from him. After his divorce, Zhang struggles to maintain a stable life amid declining business and the city's cleanup of informal housing. Despite the difficulties, he seeks to build a future in Beijing, dating a local woman and hoping to marry and start a family.
