Noel Butler, a Budawang elder from the Yuin Nation, reflects on the loss of his home and the cultural center he established with his wife, Trish. This center was destroyed during one of Australia's most devastating bushfire seasons. "Mourning Country" captures Butler's connection to the Dhurga language group and the land they have cared for for generations. The film runs for seven minutes and was released in 2021.
