Moacir Art Brut

Synopsis

Moacir, a naïve artist living in the National Park of Chapada dos Veadeiros, creates vivid drawings with crayons. He depicts human and fantastical beings, as well as elements of nature, mystical themes, and sexuality. Despite facing challenges such as impaired hearing and speaking, abnormal bone formation, and poverty, he remains largely disconnected from the outside world. Discovered by director Walter Carvalho in the 1980s, the film captures Moacir's daily life and artistic expression over 71 minutes.
