Synopsis

A wide river, the Uruguay, flows between Argentina and Brazil, marking a complex border in Misiones. Four individuals share their experiences of living in this region, where migration shapes daily life. Their stories reveal the blend of cultures and the tensions between nationality and identity. Language plays a key role, as many locals communicate in “portuñol,” a mix of Spanish and Portuguese. These narratives reflect the intertwined histories of communities on both sides of the river.
