Synopsis

Fifth graders from P.S. 15 in Red Hook, Brooklyn, confront plastic pollution in their community. Under the guidance of their teachers, these 56 students take action against the climate crisis. Their efforts lead to significant changes in local attitudes toward plastic waste. Directed by Debby Lee Cohen, Microplastic Madness shows how youth activism can lead to meaningful results in environmental stewardship. The documentary runs for 76 minutes and was released in 2020.
