Synopsis

Rimantas Dichavičius, an eminent artist and photographer, gained notoriety in the Soviet Union with his album “Blossoms Among Blossoms.” Released during a time of strict censorship, the collection of nude photographs challenged societal norms and contributed to a cultural shift. The 80-minute documentary essay film, "Menininkas," examines Dichavičius's impact on art and society, detailing how his work sparked a sexual revolution in a repressive environment. Through interviews and archival footage, the film presents a portrait of an artist who defied conventions.
