Synopsis
In 1887, the Oregon side of the Snake River became the site of a brutal attack. A gang of horse thieves killed as many as 34 gold miners near Hells Canyon. Despite the identities of the assailants being known, and at least one confession, no convictions followed. In 1995, a clerk in Wallowa County found hidden trial documents that revealed this nearly forgotten massacre. The film investigates the buried history of the victims and the fate of their killers.
