Baron Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim, born on June 4, 1867, played a crucial role in shaping modern Finland. He commanded the Whites during the Finnish Civil War and later served as Commander-in-Chief of Finland's Defence Forces during World War II. Mannerheim was also the Regent of Finland from 1918 to 1919 and the sixth President from 1944 to 1946.
