Synopsis
Lito lives in an urban slum in Manila, where a strict lockdown was imposed by President Rodrigo Duterte in March 2020. With no work available, Lito and his family face hunger as protests erupt across the city. The government responds with curfews and orders for police and military to shoot anyone causing trouble. Aid arrives, but it falls short of meeting the needs of millions. Throughout 2020, Lito struggles daily to protect his family from the dual threats of starvation and the pandemic.
