Synopsis

In 2011, the Bochumer Jahrhunderthalle zur Ruhrtriennale hosted the creation of the largest sand mandala to date. Artists Christoph Hübner and Gabriele Voss document the intricate process of its formation and subsequent destruction. Traditionally, sand mandalas are crafted in monasteries and often remain inaccessible to the public. The film runs for 69 minutes and focuses on the spiritual significance of this ritual.
