Synopsis
Beatriz Ferreyra, an Argentine electroacoustic composer, reflects on her pioneering work in early musique concrète alongside Pierre Schaeffer during the 1950s and 1960s. In "Making a Diagonal With Music," she discusses her innovative ‘sound hunting’ recording techniques and shares insights on sound montage and spatialization. The film features a range of everyday sounds, including creaking doors and barking dogs. It was selected for the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2020.
