Synopsis
Monica contracted polio at age seven during a national epidemic in 1957. Confined to a wheelchair, she became a private English teacher and a mother to her 15-year-old daughter. After her daughter's birth, Monica felt compelled to document the lives of other mothers facing similar challenges. With the assistance of her husband, a documentary filmmaker, she created "Madres con ruedas," which focuses on the experiences of mothers with disabilities. The film runs for 70 minutes and was released in 2007.
