Synopsis
Liz arrived in New York City in the winter of 1977 on a Fulbright award, leaving her husband and four children in Australia. There, she met feminist scholar Kate, and they fell in love. At that time, society viewed lesbian mothers as unfit parents. Liz's passion led her to fight for her children and her identity. "Love Letters" uses courtroom animation and real testimonies to depict Liz's custody battle against the backdrop of the feminist movement in 1970s America.
